I am a jack of all trades and outdoors enthusiast currently working for a custom furniture shop. I enjoy expressing my appreciation of nature in my artwork. During my time at Alfred University I took several advanced art classes including glass casting and metal work. I was able to greatly advance my knowledge and creative ability. I graduated Alfred University with a political science degree and hope this gives me unique breadth of knowledge as an artist.
My sculpture expresses the energy and forms found in nature. I am currently exploring the applications of fluorescence and LED lighting in my artwork. I am also exploring the possibilities of magnetic fields for abstract sculpture. My main focus is on the series known as Lichtenberg Figures or High Voltage Pyrography; for this series I use a high voltage transformer to produce electrical discharge patterns. I also enjoy combining materials such as wood, glass, stone, and resin; the abstract and organic flow of these pieces attracts me.
